Garden Update — Photo of the Day #1

With spring planting well underway, things around here have been busy. Very busy! There’s no way I’ll be able to fit it all into one post. (Not even I would have the patience to finish reading it.) So for awhile, I’ll be posting a photo a day to get you all caught up on the happenings around here. Let’s start off with this:

Farmer

My hard-working farmer.

The peppers and tomatoes went into the ground this week. (You might be able to see, the plants are not exactly pleased with their change of environment. But they’re perked up by now.)  Serranos, jalapenos, pepperoncini, dulce de espana, habaneros — yum! I can’t wait until they start producing. Tomatoes and peppers were made for each other, in my opinion.

That’s a lot of hard work there! Still, there is nothing more satisfying than feeling your hands in dirt and watching the plants grow.

    • I agree. There’s nothing like working hard with your hands outside. I love it! I’m looking forward to doing it more in the future. 😀 For Derek, there’s no better feelings in the world. It’s impossible to get him to stay inside during the summer months. lol! 😀

I’m enjoying it. This year it looks as though the little yellow button squash, the zucchini and the peas are doing well. The tomatoes not so well. Which is irritating!!!
